Canon Point: Mavis has just been allowed by her father to visit the (fake) town close to the Hotel. However, the 'humans' in the town frighten her away and she promises never to leave the Hotel again.
Canon Point Explanation: Considering most of the residents in Luceti have an impression of vampires/monsters being negative, I thought it would be interesting for Mavis to have that same impression of humans and fun to play off of the fear both would have of each other.
